undo changes

There are a few changes that i want to undo. and i can't go back to a previous session. for example show hidden files is enabled and i would like to disable that now. is there anyway i can reverse this?

I don't think there is a very reliable way to do that. Everytime you want to change something you should re-start using a new image to ensure that all goes well.
