fredcadet Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I have been using XP Media Center Edition for a long time and I love it, I think its be best os ever made. The thing is that I want to move over to XP x64 but I want my Media Center addon. I have seen this done with XP Pro x86 but I cant get it to work with x64. just imagine how awesome it would be to have Windows XP Media Center x64 Edition and don't even think about mentioning using Vista as an os, i have tried it and do NOT like it (there is too many things they did to it to mention that I didn't like). so if anyone would please help me get my x64 media center I would be happy.
DigeratiPrime Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 switch over to vista x64 with MCE.I would agree but OP said "don't even think about mentioning using Vista as an os" I havent tried it, but I would think its possible to install the MEDIACTR.CAB on XP x64. I'll try it out and let you know how it goes.
