randavis Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I installed vlite and waik, then copied wimgapi.dll to the vlite folder. vlite ran fine and I slipstreamed sp1 into Vista Ultimate.Later, I uninstalled waik and tried to run vlite. I got the window that says to install waik, even though the required dll was in the vlite folder. Is it not possible to remove waik?
MagicAndre1981 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 if you removed the WAIK the WIM Filterdriver (sys) was removed and this driver is needed to see the mounted WIM inside the Explorer.
