I'm trying to remote connect to a computer running xp pro x64 and I get this.

Any ideas?

And does this mean the failure was successful? (lol)

Do you have Ultravnc server installed? Sometimes it will cause this error. Removing it sometimes fixes the problem. Sometimes it does not. I have generally only seen this on 2003 servers.

Well xp x64 uses the same kernel as 2003 x64. I do not have ultrasync installed.

I did use nlite to slipstream a bunch of stuff, and that's all that's different since I reloaded. Maybe that did it?

Eer yeah, don't have that either. I think I'm just gonna reload with an unmodified disc. :-/

I reloaded with a disc that only had drivers added. Same error...

I installed xp x64 in a vm, twice, one from each install media I've used, and I'm always able to remote desktop connect to the one running in the VM. How bizarre is that?
