Tony Bananas
I need to free up at least 35 MB to be able to fit an xp installation on a cdr, and I have no more dvdr's So what can I ditch that the average user(me) will never use?
redxii
Did you delete the i386\WIN9XMIG, i386\WIN9XUPG, and i386\WINNTUPG folders? They aren't needed if you're doing a clean install. You can also delete DOTNETFX, Support and ValueAdd folders.

Kjhe
On a related note, I noticed that in an W2K3 Enterprise install CD, a directory called PRINTERS (29.6 MB) appears in the root directory of the disk. This does not exist in the XP CD. Does anyone know if it is safe to delete and under what circumstances should you leave it?
Kelsenellenelvian
Yup it can go to. (As long as you aren't using a printer or have the drivers you need.)Setup doesn't use them.
