3ware 8006-2LP, Vista

Hello all!

I recently bought a 3ware 8006-2LP hardware RAID controller, which I run a XP Pro x64 installation off of. This is fine and dandy, and was installed using nLite. But now the time has come, and I want to upgrade to Vista.

The problem is that 3ware does not 'officially' support Vista for their 7000/8000 cards - that is, they have un-signed engineering phase drivers. This would be less of a problem if I was using the card for a RAID 1 backup drive, rather than as my boot drive. However, because the drivers are not digitally signed, I cannot integrate them into the install, load them during the install, or otherwise get my drives detected. I tried pressing F8 before the setup loaded and selecting to disable driver signing, to no avail.

Has anyone had any luck doing a Vista install on to a 3ware 7/8000 series RAID volume? Any help would be much appreciated. B)
