Looking for a HD Tool to erase the first megabyte of a hardsik

Hi,

looking for a tool which erases the first megabyte (size variable) of a hardisk with zeros.

Kinda what DD can do under Linux. Is there a free one for xp/vista x64?

There are plenty of ports of dd, but you would probably have to run them from winPE / bartPE rather than the running OS.

Or you could just run DBAN for a few seconds?
