Can Windows XP only store user profiles locally even on a networked computer? Whereas Linux can store user profiles on a network? Is this the case with Windows Vista? darrelljon Posted December 4, 2008 Author Share Posted December 4, 2008 (edited) At my network in work, when you close the PC down it says it is synchronizing. Also when you log in on another PC sometimes your desktop lacks your icons. Do you think they have set it up wrongly? There is a personal drive (G:) on the server and a shared drive (H:). FAT64 Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 Don't get me started on the "Synchronizing" mularky! I always disable that, it just annoys me.
