TypeR189™ Posted February 19, 2002 Posted February 19, 2002 I have installed XP Pro and 2000 on my P3 several times already, but everytime I do and run Norton Windoctor there are missing or bad active x/com entries. The cds are fine, as I have installed it on different boxes before. The cdrom is fine, I have swapped it out entirely with another and get the same results. The hard drive has no bad sectors. I am clueless. Would NTFS cause this? I dont think so, but I have no other ideas right now. Anyone know what I might can try or what might be causing this? I need to fix this because this pc will be my server. Thanks in advance!

TypeR189™ Posted February 20, 2002 Author Posted February 20, 2002 Sorry Blackwar, but Norton isnt the cause. I have proved this already, as it was my first suspect. And I have installed both xp and 2000 on this pc in question before with no errors whatsoever. I have been through everything so far except swapping th drive itself. But thats in the works in a few minutes. Thanks anyway bro!
