Hello everyone,

First of all let me apologize for posting here - nothing else seemed relevant and this seemed closest. I am fairly new to this game and I am still finding my feet, recently I have come across a problem that, try as I may, I cannot seem to get past.

I have created an administration installation point on a server from which I wish to deploy Office 2000. I installed the resource kit and then set about creating a few different Transform files to customize installations for various groups. The last step in the Custom Installation Wizard says:

'To use your custom transform file, include it in the office set up command line'. The following command will run setup quietly using your Transform file'.

Here is the command:

setup.exe TRANSFORMS=\\X\Shares\IT\Standard_Install\O2K\standard.MST /qn+

Now, when I go to Start/Run and paste this command in I get the following error:

'Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components.'

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong please? Should I be using Start/Run?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
