I installed windows XP sp3 32bit a few months ago, with "Sata native mode" disabled in bios. Now I would like to install the sata drivers (and then enable "Sata native mode"), but I don't know how. My specs:

HP Compaq 6720s; "Intel ICH8M 3 port Serial ATA storage controller - 2828", "Hitachi HTS542512K9SA00" 120G SATA hard drive (Device Manager says so).

I found this guide but it's for ICH9. Would it work with ICH8M ?

Thanks, outcastc, but neither of those is going to work for me because they both imply reinstalling xp, which I don't want to do. Any idea how to do it without reinstalling?

There is a \prepare\install.cmd. Follow instructions.
