fta123 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Hello all...not sure if this is the right are to ask this question, but I have to be able to change printer configurations on over 100 XP with SP2 boxes that are mapped via TCP\IP (port) to printers on the network. I dont have a print server so this is the best way to have users set up for printers on the net. Instead of going box by box and setting the new IP address for the printer, I am wondering if there an easy way to do this...thanks in advance
IcemanND Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Are these all in a workgroup, or are they on a domain? Do you have a common admin account on all of the systems and is the server service still turned on?What exactly are you reconfiguring, the entire printer install or does the printer tcp/ip port just need to change?
