Help me! My computer doesn't start.

I just installed it today, and signed up just for solving my problem. The problem is - The computer stays on the boot screen and I can't do anything about it. I also tried using safe mode but it still freezes on that screen. I can't take any screenshots of it of course, and I am using my laptop. My computer runs on a Northwood P4 2.x GHz, S3 Pro Savage DDR 2000, and 1024 RAM. That's all I could remember of it.

EDIT - It restarted for no reason (I am sitting next to it, I wondered if I hit it).

MORE EDIT - Can moderators delete this? My computer finally started after an hour. Thanks though.
