Lars.M Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 (edited) Dear vlite community,I've some problems installing a vlited version of my Dell OEM Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 on my new Dell notebook. I changed the hdd and wanted to install vista but then an error occurred. Here is a picture of the original dvd:First of all my pc is runnig with Vista Ultimate x64 Sp1 and I had problems with vlite 1.2 recognizing the installed AIK so first I copied the wimgapi.dll from /IA64 but it didn't work so I took the file from /x86 and it worked fine.I uploaded the "Last Session.inf" as told to show you what I removed. When I insert the DVD and start the installation of Vista with German language on my notebook then at any time in phase 2 "Windows wird installiert (Installing Windows)" it says "Die ausgewählte Sprache konnte nicht installiert werden (The chosen language couldn't be installed)" and "Die Installation wurde abgebrochen (The installation was aborted)". I burned two dvd's using imgburn to make sure it's not caused by a bad dvd.Installation with English language seems to be working and the original Dell dvd works too (German installation).Haven't tested the completed installation in English from the vlited dvd so I don't know if I can switch to German without any problems.Does anyone has a clue why the German installation isn't working?I hope there'll be a solution.regards,Lars//update: I tried to install in Spanish a few moments ago and the same error occured.Last_Session.ini Edited October 24, 2008 by Lars.M
Lars.M Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Okay, so anybody got an idea? Well another question: How can I remove language packs without the whole slipstream thing?
