Saxe Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 (edited) Hi.I've used nLite before and never experienced a problem like this, so I'm not sure this is nLite's (Or my own) fault.I can install everything fine, and it runs like it should. However when I try to install the latest nVidia Forceware on the pc, it goes about halfway through the install process and then the screen turns black with a single white underscore blinking in the upper left corner. When I shut down the pc on the power button and start it up again, Windows fails to load as it freezes in the middle of loading.Does anyone know if there's some component I might have removed that Forceware requires to install / function properly? Thanks for any of your help.Edit:GPU: ASUS GeForce 8800 GTWindows XP Pro SP3 Edited October 18, 2008 by Saxe
Saxe Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 Okay, I've just tried installing the driver on a regular Windows XP installation, and I get the same problem. Does anyone know what the problem could be, is it my hardware or is it software? The screen works just fine untill I install that driver, but is Windows using my onboard GPU up untill that point?I really hope someone can help, I have to return the graphics card within long if that is the problem here.
