Microsoft Certified Courses

Exams at: http://www.prometric.com

Many MS courses can be done through E-learning on the microsoft website, depending on the course:

http://www.microsoft.com/uk/learning/learn...ng/default.mspx

Also, a lot of people simply learn from books/internet before going and taking the exams.

I recommend going to http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/offe...ot/default.mspx

Register, and get a free voucher from MS/prometric, so that if you fail an exam you can re-sit it again later (after revising!) for FREE.

To find your training provider - it depends on the course you want to do. Some trainers only do MCP courses. Some only MCSA/MCSE. some do a whole plethora of stuff, it depends on what the MCT is permitted to teach as well as what the MCT wants to teach!

AVOID the £5000 crash course to your MCSA stuff - even if you pass they arent worth the money, and also you might pass the exams but not actually know the material properly!

What certification are you looking to achieve?

you could easily do Exam 70-652 TS: Windows Server Virtualization, Configuring.

When you pass Exam 70-652: TS: Windows Server Virtualization, Configuring, you complete the requirements for the following certification:

• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server Virtualization, Configuration

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exams/70-652.mspx

Of the two e-learning courses for it, one of them is still a "clinic" - as in its FREE. (need a windows live account)

https://www.microsoftelearning.com/eLearnin...?courseId=95556

The other course is only $39 (£20)

https://www.microsoftelearning.com/eLearnin...?courseId=92459

The exam is then £88 from prometric, which hopefully you should pass - and be an MCTS :)

The training provider I used went bust, so I can't reccomend anyone but I can certainly wish you luck! I did a MCSE all on my lonesome a few years ago, took me 18 hard months of slog and I never did get a bloody job!
