have searched google and found that lots of people are having issued with APPCRASH issues under vista.

Any ideas what the issues are and does anyone know if microsoft are working on this?

APPCRASH crashes means that Vista detected that the app crashed - it isn't the root cause, it's just a reporting mechanism. You'll need to get some application dumps of the problem occurring before we can tell you much further.
