vivavilla Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Wondering if anyone can help here?I've taken a fresh copy of XP SP2 and slipstreamed SP3 into it with nlite. Nothing fancy, no other options. Straight forward slipstream and burn to disk. After booting from the CD, all the drivers are loaded and as soon as it gets onto "Windows is starting" (the bit right before you choose your partition options etc...) I get a big fat blue screen.Any ideas?

vivavilla Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 more details will enable us to think of better solutions (i.e., specific error) ...Unfortunately I don't really get much information! I get a generic "A problem has been detected..." message and the STOP code is 0x0000007B.0x0000007B on the Microsoft Support site mentions mass storage drivers but I'm a bit confused as to why a direct copy of an XP CD that does work, is now failing to work simply because I've slipstreamed SP3
johnhc Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 vivavilla,Did you install Text Mode drivers, such as SATA drivers? If so, look at that aspect of you nLite build - correct drivers, etc?Enjoy, John.
