exe problem on Vista 32bit

I installed a slipstreamed SP1 Vista Ultimate with components removed just as one of the guides on here on my EEE 1000H.

Whenever i try to open or use any .exe file i get an error such as

"C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Temp\7zSDAE4.tmp\setup.exe

The specified service does not exist as an installed service."

I feel like i might have accidently checked windows setup (.exe) or something on vlite.

but i wont be able to use the computer i made the DVD on for a few days.

what is the status of your UAC?

um it was on

i tried running as administrator and in xp compat. mode

and both times the UAC prompt would pop up

and id hit accept

and then that same error
