not recognizing USB?

I created an nlite copy of XP with service pack 3, and added silverlight, Adobe Flash, IE7, and xable's windows update pack. Made the DVD just fine.

When it goes to run, it can't load the USB drivers and makes my keyboard and mouse useless.

I've tried an original Dell copy of XP sp2 and it come sup with the USB enabled.

Any ideas?
