I mean you've got trees, Domain, Primary Domain Controller, Backup Domain Controller, sub domains, roots, tree roots, forest roots, and a partridge in a pear tree. What is the Hierarchical order to these items. Where do they fit in. I know that in NT there is the PDC first, but I get a little confused after that.Is it true that there are no Primary or backup domain controllers in 2000? They just use roots? I really don't have a clue what a forest is for. What circumstances or environment would necesitate a forest.
