Got confused please help

Okay trying to create an XP Pro OEM Disc with

SP3

IE7

.net

WMP 11

Patches

Does anyone have an Guide to creating a "super XP" CD? I;m using Nlite 1.4.9 and have succesfully intergrated SP3 and IE7 but no .net and patches (some crash etc and of course i have no idea if it works because I only have one "test" PC with XPP OEM Sticker.

For the patches; you can use an addon that contains it all like Ryanvm one. Download it at ryanvm.net

Same for IE7 with patches.

For the integration of .net (any version you want); search the forums for silent.net maker .

for wmp11 use wmp11 slipstreamer; search the forums.

For registry tweaks; search in unattended 2000/XP/2003 forums

For others progs, search in the nLite addon subforum.

So the guide is the entire forum itself. At least you're in the good place !

nLite 1.4.9 has WMP11 Slipstreamer built in - just add WMP11 as a hot fix.

There are at least three free virtual systems available to test your ISOs. I use VMware Server because it was the only one to support XP x64. Sun has VirtualBox and MS has VirtualPC. I have not used these two but they are much much smaller than Vmware Server (something like 40 MB vs 400 MB). I suggest you try one of the smaller. More opinions can be found in these forums. One thing to be careful about is do not nLite a source that has been nLited before. I copied my CD into a folder and then make a copy before I start nLite to create an ISO. Spend some time looking at questions and answers in these forums including looking at WPI to install your user programs after Windows is installed. Do a little at a time such as your source + SP3, then test on your virtual system to get used to all pieces.

Ok Found Virtual box its pretty mean! As for WMP11 which file is the Hotfix? Will look for silent .net maker thankyou. What I did (for the patches) was fresh install my main XPP box (the one that has all my best parts etc) and just goto WU to see what was outstanding,

so I Downloaded those (and the second round stuff)

(there was also WMP11 updates on Round 2 but N/A untill I can intergrate WMP11

Is It possible to nlite the MSRT ?
