Kansas Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Hi I have tried three times to use Nlite to burn a disc for my Averatec laptop. Slipstreaming SP3 and making a few other "removals", but not much. Once with only slipstreaming the SP 3The disc is Windows XP Home Upgrade disc Service pack 1, andI have followed the directions at:Mark Sanborns sitehttp://www.marksanborn.net/software/what-t...-of-windows-xp/and the following site, just because the instructions were so clear,http://www.i64x.com/eeexp.phpAll times the disc that I make just spins in the hard drive and never comes up on the screenAlso, in Windows explorer, if I click on the D: drive the cursor turns to an hour glass and never shows whats in the discQuestion: Is the problem likely:1) because I am using an "UPGRADE DISK"2) that I am not burning the image well enough? Using Infrarecorder3) don't have drivers transfered? But the upgrade disc loads4) Other? Thanks in advance
Kelsenellenelvian Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 4?How are you burning the image? Are you using nLite? Did you burn the iso IMAGE to the cd or did you burn it as an iso? They are 2 different things. But if you used only nLite to burn your disk then this shouldn't be an issue...
