kumarkumar Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Whenever I enter a series of hyphens or minus signs (--------------------) and press Enter, the hyphens/minuses get converted to a straight line. This line is impossible to delete.Similarly whenever I enter a series of asterisks (***************) and press Enter, the asterisks get converted to a dotted straight line. This line is again impossible to delete. How do I prevent WORD from doing this?
spacesurfer Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I'm sure that feature is somewhere in options not sure where butright after you type Enter, if you press the back key, it will be the way it was.so, hit backspace and it's undo the conversion to line.
kumarkumar Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 Yeh, hitting backspace as well as ctrl+Z works, but I want to get rid of the autocompletion totally. Its so annoying I have looked through the whole "options" settings, but couldn't find anything dealing with it.
kumarkumar Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) Nevermind, fixed it. Edited August 19, 2008 by kumarkumar
