Can't install winXP in nForce4 chipset

My problem is that i can't make a clean install because i have always the error 0x0000007B.

Sometimes the insatallation goes to the blue screen that says 'chooce your disk to install windows and bla....bla...bla..."

but when the format finished it reboot all the time again and again.

Any ideas?????Thx...

MSI K8N SLI PLATINUM

AMD64 4000+

Seagate 160GB Sata

2x512 Kingston 400Mhz DDR2 ( I tried 2x512 OCZ also)

Are you using F6 to supply disk controller drivers during install?

Have you gone through the steps on Advanced troubleshooting for "Stop 0x0000007B" errors in Windows XP that relate to OS installation?

Have you tried configuring your SATA compatibility as IDE in the BIOS?

thx for your help Mr Snrub...... im not using F6.I've got an unattended nlite cd with driverpacks slipstreamed.

The strange thing is ....if i make a nlite cd without driverpacks also , i have the same error.

I have also a WinXP with no ServicePack at all and after 5 or 6 times i made a clean install.But as you see

i would like to have my unattended cd in my pc.

Also i don't see anywhere SATA compatibility as IDE in the BIOS.

I encountered the 7B error as well with my Asus A8N SLI Deluxe

It was down to the driverpacks, but its mainly nVidias fault.

In the end I had to slipstream only the mass storage drivers relevant for my mobo onto the disk before it would install successfully. Simply used nLite to slipsteam them in.

I've only got a RAID 0 array on the nVidia SATA controller, so really needed to have the correct drivers installed for Windows to be able to continue booting from it.
