Windows Cannot Find File at Startup

I keep getting this message when the laptop starts

windows can not find "s".Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.to search for a file click the start button and then click search

I used antiviruses, scanonline, I checked msconfig for the name, I tried to search many sites (see for instance the one below) to find out the solution for the problem , but I could not find a one that overcomes my issue

Is this at startup or at logon?

(Or maybe you have autologon so you go straight to the desktop so you can't tell?)

AutoRuns is your friend I think - you will have an entry whose Image Path is just the string "S" somewhere.

I would look on the Logon tab first, it's a much smaller list.
