cmd command-line tools missing

Recommended Posts

the problem is that i've slimmed winxp down a bit to much,

i can't do all the cmd commands that i used to be able to do,

ipconfig,

xcopy

find,

and a lot more that i haven't tried are not working anymore. i think it's due to a box i checked, question is, how do i get these command-line tools back

Try typing PATH into the command window, see what it brings up. If it's missing %sysdrive%\Windows\System32 you'll need to add it by going into Environmental Variables in the System dialog. This should clear up any problems with missing commands. Had a similar problem with an install of XP SP2 using NLite, this fixed it though.
