Leo_2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Hi all,I have been trying to work on a simple batch script for work which basically once launched automatically starts basic routines such as defrag the machine and run an error check with automatic answers set up like an unattended install. I have managed to write this as its very simple as a batch file. However because we want to use it on a Windows Server 2003 network we are now toying with the idea of been able to place this batch script onto a memory stick, which when the computer is booted with it in will boot into dos and do these tasks. I have been looking on the internet but not managed to find much on making bootable memory sticks (although we do use some at work for rebuilding machines) and am also concerned that tasks such as defrag may not be able to be run in dos?If anyone has any useful sources or ideas on how I could go about this I would be really grateful,Thank you very much,Leo
TranceEnergy Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Sure, check out bootdisk.com they have a good handful and more of possible usb/flashdisk booting suggestions.
