The Void Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Anyone else end up with blank control panel icons after using vlite? I use the classic control panel view and right after the install everything looks normal. After a few reboots, I end up with one or two blank icons and I can't figure out what is causing them. All the guides I found to identify the stray icon don't work. Rebuilding the icon cache doesn't work.My last install only had Windows Defender, Text to Speech, Natural Language, Tablet PC support, plus languages and printer drivers removed. I'm using 64 bit Vista Ultimate. I'm guessing something that I removed is causing this but I haven't pinpointed it yet. Anyone else have this problem?I'm trying to shrink the Vista install size by getting rid of the junk I'll never use. I started with vlite 1.2 beta but last night tried 1.1.6 and had the same problem.
