pen25jf Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Hi, first post, but LOVE nlite. Now, I'm trying Vista. Got a laptop from.... ugh, Acer, and it's recovery CD is LOADED with crappy 3rd party apps for videos, pictures, etc. Between Vista and XP, to me, the CD is night and day, I have NO idea what can be removed that's not Microsoft. So the question: how do I remove all the third party garbage?!? Which folders are the one's they are in? If I missed a guide somewhere, sorry, you can just point me to it. I would also like to slim down the Vista home basic as well; seems bulky. I got 2 gigs of ram and it's SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOWW haha, thanks so much in advanced!!! P.S. Can I run Vlite from XP? Or do I have to go and do all this from the laptop with Vista
razormoon Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Here's an answer you may not like...You will have to learn to build an unattend from scratch in order for you to know what is ok to remove and what isn't, otherwise you'd be headed to a disastrous place. The Vista unattend forum will be a good place to start.
