calam Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 ok, a choice i made to add option to rename & delete recycle bin keeps biting me in the rear from g/f & her kid routinely accidently deleting recycle bin.what solution or regedit can i do to UNDO this greivious attrocity? HA! (well, only the jokes on me, ugh) all my searches keep referring to this being an issue with Vista, & a fixable one at that, but I did this in XP-pro!thanks in advance, calam
calam Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 Okay thanks but after much googling i found it, just reset the key to rename/delete recycle bin back to default value :HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolderValue Name: AttributesData Type: REG_BINARY (Binary Value)Value Data: (70 01 00 20=enable, 40 01 00 20=default)& I can rename from registry if I desire, that key is easy enough to find.now if i could only figure out how to close this post since it is now irrelevant untill someone else needs the data...thanks anyhow
