firemage Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 a client of mine is having a strong problem with the copy of sp3 i installed for them, they are trying to access files in a folder but then the system slows down as it loads the short cuts in the folder and then explore closes out, as to programs when they try to use open dialog. I know they are using pagemaker 7 and the files are tiff type, what could be wrong? I'll have more info tomorrow but right now i'm just trying to scout with what info i have.-G

cluberti Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 If explorer is crashing, you should consider using ShellExView to disable any new/updated/non-Microsoft shell extensions, and see if the problem continues. If so, get an application crash dump of the explorer.exe process.
