Acer Aspire and vlite

Hi;

I know this is a dumb question but... here goes. I just purchased an Acer aspire am 1000-u1402a with Vista home premiere on it. I have been trying to get installation CDs from Acer but they have been uncooperative so far. I was wondering if anyone here has used vlite on the the acer management tool backups. Can I use these backups in place of an installayion DVD?

I'd say the simplest way would be to make your own - sysprep the installation, capture it and replace the install.wim from the retail disc.

Quite obviously, OEMs would make their custom recovery/backup environments harder to reverse engineer than the default vanilla Vista.
