Windows XP Post SP3 Security Updates + IE7 and WMP11

I have decided not to run this post anymore for personal/impersonal reasons - don't have time anymore with a new baby, it's a duplication of effort, and MS is releasing too many updates so who cares anymore.

I see SWFLASH.CAB (Flash optional) on the site posted by Fdv. I am using IE8. Do I need this file for my browser? If I download it, where should I put it into?

I believe that is the flash security update and you need it. The CAB files for for integrating hotfixes.

Thanks for the link. But why was this update in May? The one on Vorck was in October. I downloaded it but couldn't install it.

And it seems that my problem is the same. I've got the latest version of Flash Player so I think it's OK; I don't need this update.
