unattended setup stopped on the way..

Recommended Posts

i prepared my windows XP sp3 for unattended keeping all the settings and entries intact which worked on my winXP SP2.

Problem :

my unattended works very well till it stuck on welcome windows

it asked me for display settings (resolution), username, registration etc etc

the same winnt.sif settings skipped all these on windows XP sp2

what is causing this ?

patched file used : uxtheme.dll, sfc_os.dll

any suggestion will be highly appreciated

Edit:have i missed any patched sysyem files for XP SP3 as the same settings of winnt.sif is working great on SP2 with lots of patched files

I have the exact same problem.

I created a brand new configuration copying the files from an original Windows XP SP2 Corporate Edition CD. I didn't integrate SP3, I did integrate RyanVM's update pack, and the one thing that I did differently this time... was integrate Bashrats driver packs.

When integrating the RVM's update pack I also did an optimisation of the files. Could this have caused this?

EDIT: Including winnt.sif

i came to know that it is all because of VMWARE

does it mean that it will be fixed on physical PC or it is machine dependent with VGA driver compactability ?

i am confused

if not and only appears on some PC then what will be the fix that will be applicable all PC.
