ipod recovery mode? HELP!

recently my ipod has been in recovery mode and it wont exit from this mode, i did some research and it seems like i have to change the drive letter of it. but when i go into disk management and all that, my ipod doesnt even show up for me to change the drive letter? how do i get it to show up?

have you got any external hard drives attached? or a usb card reader?

if so, chaneg those driver letters to sommit at the other end, X, Y, Z for example, then re connect your ipod, will work.

Happened to me, the Ipod was assiging itsself the same letter that was already assigned to a drive, chanegt he drive letter and all was fine.
