vothros Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Hello all, I am a new member and i am reading this forum 2 days now as much as i can cause i have a problem and i am trying to find a solution about my pc. I have an old pc (Amd 2,4ghz, 1gb Ram,msi k7n2-delta, sata controller).I have my original cd winXp Sp2 and a friend helped me insert sp3 with n-lite (i am also new to this program) and many more tweaks for looks and speed, plus IE7, WMP11,driver packs etc etc (if u want a list of what added i can post it as well).I put cd, boots normally, i format the hard disk, it starts copying some files, it makes the first restart and when it shows the bar with winxp to start the installation i get a blue screen which says:"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you 've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check for viruses on your computer. Remove and newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for drive corruption and then restart your computer. Technical Information: ***STOP 0x0000007B (0xF7C46528,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)."1) This cd works perfect on 2 other newer pc's i tried, to mine - no.2) If i use my original cd the installation is fine.3) What is the problem with my pc or this cd i made? My sata controller? If i put it off my motherboard won't be able to see the hard drive. Any help would be appreciated!
cluberti Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Did you integrate the SATA controller drivers into your source? The error message indicates you did not.
vothros Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 Did you integrate the SATA controller drivers into your source? The error message indicates you did not.It has many sata drivers inside and more new than mine which i use with the floppy, but even though, i still tried to use my drivers with the floppy disk by pushing F6 and i still get that error! When i hit F6 to install my drivers it says that the drivers i am trying to install are older than those that windows have so i leave it like this or even if i choose to put mine, i still get that error. But with my original cd it works fine! And to the other pc's this cd works fine as well, maybe because i have sata controller and not sata controller from motherboard? what can i say....i don't understand...
vothros Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Ok i solved my problem ! Even though the cd had newer drivers than my sata controller, i inserted mine as well and it worked! ouff!! what a relief!
