Poke386 Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Hello there I'm a newbie in using nLite or anything related to unattended Windows/Slipstreaming for that matter. Up till now I've been using custom unattended XP versions created by other people but they dont have all the items I want. So I thought "Hey, why not create my own?". And as I went on my path of creating my own unattended install I ran into some problems. Everyone here seems to know their stuff very well, so please excuse me if my questions are stupid.Firstly, how do I get all the updates on to my computer? Downloading them one-by-one is very inconvenient, so there must be another way to do it. I tried Windows Update Downloader, but a get the following error:Not a valid calendar for the given cultureParameter name:value. This happens with .NET framework 3.0 installed. I'd like to know if there is any other way to download all the updates in one go and integrate them with nLite.Secondly, I have a SATA hardrive. Do I need to install some sort of SATA driver before installing XP? Sounds like a stupid question but since I've always installed custom versions, which perhaps they come with the driver installed, I dont really know.Lastly, how do I create custom silent installers for my favorite applications? I came across a how-to for creating an addon, but none to tell me how to create a silent installer that I can intergrate into nLite.Sorry if any of my questions are dumb.-Poke386
