Cant slip the drivers

I am pretty sure this has been posted before but I cant find the right topic so I am just going to ask again.

So I have a HP Pavilion DV9540EB with vista(sigh) so I tried to install XP but I get the good old "cant find physical HDD" error, so I downloaded all the XP drivers from HP but they are all EXE files but yeah I need INF files I tried using winrar to open them no luck soo yeah im screwed badly

I have a similar problem to you. I think this is where you found out about extracting with winrar: http://www.nliteos.com/faq.html#Q14 . The drivers I downloaded have setup files in them but no INF files. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?
