How do you guys get small ISOs?

I've done a vLited x64 Ultimate for my desktop... but I can't for the life of me get one small enough to go on CDs to install on my laptop. My laptop can handle 32bit Ultimate but its got a CD drive. I have tried removing EVERYTHING and still can only get to 742mb ISO file. Splitting does'nt work for me. I tried to split the file and it gave me a 1.03 gig file and a 24mb file. Where did the 1.x gig file come from? It was only a 742mb ISO anyway? I tried setting the settings in SPLIT to around 730mb or so and the 2 ISO files were of different sizes and 1 way too big. Man...I'm doing something outta whack.

The size depends on what you keep , what you remove. There is no magic formula
