Etz Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) HeyOne Question...Do I have to buy a new license and get a new Key+Disc... ?Or I have to order only 64-bit media?regardsEtz Edited May 29, 2008 by Etz
cluberti Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Unless it was a royalty OEM version (and I'm assuming it wasn't), keys are not architecture specific until they're activated (and even that can be changed later if you don't mind a call to the clearinghouse 800#). So, if you can find x64 media, your key will likely work just fine.

If it isnt OEM at all , then you have the Retail edition and there should be both x64 and x86 media in .. bought you probaly dont know it , but you can buy OEM versions without its "restricted" to one company .. like dell, asus and so .. the diffrence is you just dont get support for it if its not about safety like Virus and so.
