ghadacr Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Hi All,I got a windows 2007 word docx document. I'm currently running office 2003. So naturally i couldnt open the document. I then proceeded to download Service pack 3 for XP and Office 2003. Once i had done that i also downloaded FileFormatConverters.exe and installed it on the machine.After all the installs, i then tried to open the document and it gave me the following error: There was an error opening the file.Thats the issue and if anyone can help, it will be much apperciated. Thanks.P.s.The file is being recognised as 2007 document.
mara- Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Any detail on error? You may try to install SP1 for FileFormats and hotfixes: KB947801, KB951808.Cheers
