bizzybody
How about an option in apup that downloads only updates appropriate for Office XP for after SP3? (and for after the latest service packs for the other versions too)I've tried to find a list of all post-SP3 hotfixes and addons for Office XP so I can edit the scripts and delete the un-needed updates myself, but haven't been able to find such a list. zipzap
I just noted autopacher is up and running again and aupup. Good I thought. So proceeded and downloaded. I wondered if there was a catch.? There sure was according to a scan with Zone Alarm and came up with report. Trojan - Dropper Win 32. I downloade 3 files the autpatcher website and all contained trojans<br />So I would be wary about downloading from there. I couldnt see any contact details there so thought I would mention it here as would hate others to get caught out. anonymous_user
If the files are under 10mb, I would upload to VirusTotal. Remember it could be a false positive.

tenchi103
This is a known false positive that some antivirus programs are detecting as this trojen. If you go to the formus at autopatcher.com, it looks like they are working on this.
schloss
Yes, agreed it's a false positive. All the excitement was almost over by the time this was first mentioned here. After spreading a little FUD around it's a pity zipzap never followed this up. The defs at VirusTotal are not always up to date, anyway.BTW I don't understand what OP is asking for. When I use Autopatcher, it already does this??? bizzybody
It didn't have the choice of getting updates for XP SP2 or XP SP3 when I posted that back in MAY.
schloss
Well, yes, time flies when your thread gets hijacked! If you are still looking for an Office patch list (which I agree is almost impossible to find) then Gary Busby maintains a spreadsheet over at Bullet in Blue (Here).Don't know of anything else for Office.Be warned --- his spreadsheet is in Office 2007 (XLSX) format.
