I would like to setup my Sata harddrive`s.simala to ide drives (ie drive © drive (d).

I dont want to use the raid functions.

Can someone please explain to me the best way to set my computer up,whithout using raid.

Computer Spec`s are

OS WinXP Pro sp2

Gigabyte GA-M59SLI-S5 (rev1.0) NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI chipset.

2x Seagate ST3500641AS 500GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM`s.

AMD Athlon FX-62 Socket AM2 Dual Core 2.8GHz.

4x 1GB DDR2 PC2-8500.

EVGA 8800GTS 320MB GDDR3 DVI TVO PCI-E Spec.

If all you're worried about are drive letters, then the only thing you need to do during setup is have ONLY the system drive plugged in. Once Windows is installed, connect the second drive, and then use Disk Management to re-arrange the drive letters to your desire.

With the 4GB of RAM, I would recommend you use Vista x64. :)
