UPHC still required for XP SP3?

I'm glad they finally fixed the tooltip bug....now I don't have to run ToolTipFixer anymore.

However, I'm still not sure if the UPHC (User Profile Hive Cleanup) program is still required for SP3.

Anyone know the answer?

If you have any drivers or apps that hold handles open to a user's registry hive, then yes, it's still recommended. However, if you don't see uphclean errors in the event log when users log on and off, you don't need it.

Same as I did before:

1) If I see errors in the event log, I install it.

2) I install it and watch event log for several months if it has ever kicked in.

2a) If yes, keep it.

2b) If no, uninstall it.
