No start menu for XP home nlite install

(EeePC 701 4G)

I nlited XP Home for my EeePC.

I included XP drivers, downloaded from the Asus site, in the XPHome file to be nlited...

The nlite was supposedly successful.

I did not set any passwords, as I recall, in the process.

I transferred the imaged ISO from my thumb drive to burning it to CD.

I used Roxio Media Manager.

The full version of XP Home was already on the machine.

After already initiating the install, I remembered I had disabled WLAN first. The i64x.com tut said to enable everything first.

Now, after trying to bootup for the first time, I get no start menu; only "Please press control + alt + delete"...this protects your computer"...

Then, I get a user sign-on set to "Administrator", with a blank password field...

1)...hitting enter does not work

2)...hitting okay does not work

3)...doing anything relating to the start menu does not work, as there is no start menu...

I tried to find where I might have saved the config in nlite, so I might simply edit that, rather than go through the entire process all over again.

Any advice given would be greatly appreciated....
