Can't open links in outlook express

HI I've just reinstalled windows xp with sp3 and outlook express works fine until I click on a link, it wont open up a link and locks up outlook express. Any suggestions.

You probably need to repair the program association for urls.

Open 'Control Panel', open 'Folder Options', goto 'File Types', check 'Extensions' (NONE) | 'File Types' URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol and see what it is set to open with.

You can repair this association from withing your web browser.

From Firefox open 'Tools', Options, goto 'Main' tab, 'System Defaults' select 'Check Now'.

For Internet Explorer open Internet Options, goto the Programs tab, check if Internet Explorer is the default web browser.
