Adding a 36.4 scsi to a raid 5 server

Can anyone help me, i have a HP proliant ML350 G3 server with 5 hot swapable drives at 36.4GB each and i need to add another 36.4GB as i am running out of space.

Does anyone know how i can go about this, i have never done this before so i would need step by step guidence on this. I am running a raid 5 setup.

Hi!

I don't know whats the story with HP server but i guess like other Brands there is a utility somewhere that will allow u to use that extra drive.Think simple

At first add the drive.Nothing is going to happen.Perhaps ur RAID controller will see it perhaps not.

Then u should have some kind of HP Tools that give control over the RAID Controler.U should see some kind of option of adding the new drive at least.After that there should be some other option to change the array in order to use it.

Its along shot but its better to take a good backup before you do anything.....just in case
