Determine content of imagex images

Hi

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic, couldn't find a forum that was an exact fit. I'm looking for a way to determine the version of Windows contained in a specific imagex image. I know how to determine version such as Vista, Basic from a script executed in a running os, but havnt been able to figure out a reliable way to determine the same thing from an "offline" mounted image. Any ideas?
