Hi I'm attempting to install Windows 7 on a PC using an old and trusted USB harddrive with a bootable partition containing the Win 7 ISO content. Usually this works, but today I had to upgrade an old PC to Win 7 and ran into trouble. (Core2Duo E6400, 2gigs of ram, MSI p965 Platinum MB, sata hd). The PE boots as usual, enters PE "desktop", and displays the background image as well as provides an active mouse cursor. After that nothing happens, the install wizard is never launched, and PE is not responding to any key combinations. Would appreciate input on what might cause this, and how to solve the problem. (Have since tested the usb drive on another pc, and it worked without issues there). Thanks in advance

Hi Sorry if this is a bit off-topic, couldn't find a forum that was an exact fit. I'm looking for a way to determine the version of Windows contained in a specific imagex image. I know how to determine version such as Vista, Basic from a script executed in a running os, but havnt been able to figure out a reliable way to determine the same thing from an "offline" mounted image. Any ideas?
